We established Autumn Threads in 2005 following a search for overlocking threads that were difficult to find locally here in the Blue Mountains. I recall spending a lot of time mending then - and unpicking. Taking up pants, letting them down, up down, up down. I loved my overlocker then and I still do. The temptation with living somewhere as beautiful and inspiring as the Blue Mountains, is to want to spend more time creating rather than venturing out to shop for sewing supplies. We found we weren't the only ones.

We completely understand a love of sewing and are thrilled to support others who do. Sewing improves mental health and can make a person feel happier.
