Vlieseline (Vilene) sew-in light weight interfacing is an especially soft and lightweight non-woven interlining suitable for small parts such as collars and cuffs of blouses and dresses. With a soft, comfortable texture, it can be sewn in by hand or using a sewing machine. Interfacing is used to add body to a garment. Unlike fusible interfacing, this sew-in fabric does not have a glue backing, requiring you to sew it in to secure it's placement in your garment. It can be sewn onto the main fabric just like another normal layer of fabric, often resulting in a more natural shape and drape without any stiffness. It adds stability to areas needed, such as where button holes will be, collars, lapels, pockets etc. It can also be used for handicrafts to add body to your craft fabric. Suitable for lightweight fabrics such as crushed and pleated fabrics which are heat sensitive and unable to be ironed.
