Cotton is the traditional choice for quilters when it comes to batting. Cosy Cotton is made from the highest quality, long staple fibres and is a classic in the Sew Easy range. Needle punched for superior fibre bonding and stability. No chemicals or bleaching are used in manufacturing. Low loft. No bearding. Luxurious drape when quilted. It is soft, comfortable and drapes well, making it ideal for bed quilts. Made from natural fibre, cotton batting 'breathes' making it warm in winter and cool in summer. Cotton tends to be a little heavier than polyester, which is perfect for those who like a little more weight in their quilts. A natural cotton batting that allows those with allergies to sleep easier. The ideal batting for light coloured fabric quilts.
Washing instructions:
1. Machine wash quilts with a mild detergent or specialty quilt wash on a gentle cycle. Caution: Do not use any eucalyptus based washing products (such as a wool wash) as these may cause seed colour to bleed into lighter coloured fabrics.
2. Machine spin on a medium to fast cycle to remove excess water.
3. Allow to dry flat in the shade.
4. For an antique look to your quilt, tumble dry on a warm cycle to cause batting to shrink.
