Mettler Silk-Finish Cotton 40 consists of 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton. During production, Silk-Finish Cotton undergoes a mercerization process. This technology makes this sewing thread more tearproof, low-shrink and iron-proof. A fabulously versatile sewing thread, it is ideal for quilting, patchwork and embroidery. As a high-quality, somewhat thicker thread it creates beautiful decorative seams and embroidery patterns. Do not hesitate to use Silk-Finish Cotton 40 also for sewing. Cross-stitch patterns turn out extremely well with this sewing thread. Hint: When embroidering, makes sure not to digitize the pattern too densely - then the result will turn out particularly well.
