A firmly filled ham shaped cushion used to press and mould darts, sleeve caps, and curved seams. The contoured shape helps to mould and shape fabric when pressing. Traditionallly a tailor's pressing ham is used in tailoring and dressmaking to aid in pressing and shaping garments. Excellent when constructing sleeves, collars, hip curves, darts, shoulders, fitted bodices and anywhere you traditionally could not get an iron to when flat, such as curved areas and seams.
